My Journey

My path to becoming a physiotherapist has been deeply influenced by my own experiences. As an avid basketball player in my youth, an unexpected injury requiring surgery abruptly ended my engagement with sports and led me to confront a leg length discrepancy and chronic joint pain by my 20s.

Turning Point

2006 was a pivotal year for me as I explored martial arts, including tai chi and qigong. This marked the beginning of a profound transformation in my overall wellness, offering a way out of chronic pain and immersing me in more than a decade of practice in Chinese internal martial and healing arts. My passion for fitness and holistic well-being flourished, earning me certifications as a Personal Trainer and Boxing coach, while actively engaging in white-collar boxing matches.

Enlight Holistic Fitness

During my eight years as a full-time personal trainer in London, I expanded my expertise, gaining additional qualifications as a strength and conditioning coach, sports massage therapist, and mindfulness teacher. In 2015, I founded Enlight Holistic Fitness, aiming to balance holistic health practices like mindfulness and tai chi with more conventional forms of exercise such as resistance and cardiovascular training.

Path to Physiotherapy

My quest for a deeper understanding of human anatomy and rehabilitation led me to pursue Physiotherapy. I proudly graduated with first-class honours from King’s College London in 2022, whilst completing a thousand hours of clinical practice in the NHS. Since then, I’ve focussed my clinical development in the assessment, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal, sports, and orthopaedic conditions.

My Approach

As a physiotherapist, I’m committed to educating my patients on managing their conditions and making the rehab process more approachable. Using my extensive background, I aim to create engaging, evidence-based treatment plans that include a combination of manual therapy, exercise, patient education and onward referral if required. My personal and professional experiences have aided me to assist a wide range of patients, from youths to seniors, in managing their conditions whilst consistently receiving positive feedback.

Lifelong Learning

I remain dedicated to continuous professional development and regularly attend courses and shadow esteemed clinicians to learn from them. This enables me to stay at the forefront of physiotherapy and provide the most current and effective treatments.
